Starting with the casino invites, just by sending these out to your friends and family, the excitement will build.  Put some black and red confetti into each envelope or better yet, buy a deck of cards  that we offer, cut them up into smaller pieces and use that as confetti!
We offer so many different casino decorations in each theme style, that is might be hard to pick which ones you want.  Just go with the thought that more is better.  For instance, don’t forget about hanging cool decorations  from the ceiling,  over the party table, in door arches, from lights.  Work your way down from the ceilings now, to the tables and
then even to the floor.  Tablecovers, plates, napkins, centerpieces, confetti n the table and of course the roulette game  smack dab in the middle.  We offer three different felt games for the party table, like roulette, blackjack and craps.  Add decks of cards, chips for playing and you can not go wrong.  Check out our great scene setters too, for your walls and doors, giving the whole
room a Vegas look and feel.
Our new Party Magazine has great recipes for party food and desserts, so check out our favorite appetizers, food and desserts to make for all of your party guests.  Send all of your guests home with some fuzzy dice and they
won’t forget this night at your casino party!

Great craft for a Cinderella party.

4 cups of flour

1 cup of salt

1-1/2 cups of hot water

Cookie cutters

Decorations – glitter, paint, beads, etc.

1. This recipe is enough to make quite a lot of cookie cutter shapes, depending on the size of them. You will also need paint in any colors and any decorations, pom poms, glitter, beads, colored pasta beads etc.

2. Use cookie cutters to cut a variety of shapes, like dinos, snowmen, stars, they sell every shape imaginable now, including all animal shapes. Once the child uses their cookie cutters to make their door hanger/ornament. Then use a toothpick to make a hole for hanging, being sure to make the hole a little larger than you will want as they tend to close when baking and you want to be able to put a ribbon through it to loop and tie so they can hang their new dough door hanger/ornament.

3. Using a microwave-safe plate (not paper or cardboard), microwave a plate of their cookie cutter dough shapes for 1 minute each time, rebaking 1 minute each time as you check on them after each minute so see their hardness.

Keep a close eye on the microwave as the ornaments bake. Let dough shapes cool completely before decorating. They can paint them, decorate with glue and decorations that you put out for them, along with music, food and drinks of course, then cut a length of satin ribbon and put through the hole you put at the top of the cookie cutter dough shape, loop and tie off…they have a very cool party favor to take home, and hang in their house.

Hanging Balloons

Hanging Balloons     Ages 1.5 to 3

Here’s a game for the younger birthday crowd that they can actually play together!

You will need balloons, Rope or string, One set of  pot holders for each child, making sure they are kind that your hand can slide into.

Hang balloons at different lengths along a rope or string. Some balloons should be easy to reach and others should hang just high enough so that children have to jump to reach them. Let children bat at the balloons wit their “Bear Paws” or “bear” hands.

Party Favor Buckets

For a fantastic alternative to the traditional treat bag or treat box that you fill yourselves, why not consider our new Party Favor Buckets, that all of our most popular themes now offer.  From Barbie party supplies , to Minnie Mouse party supplies  , to Mickey Mouse party supplies  and many more, these party favor buckets are fantastic, as they add a lot more room for the larger party favors that we offer in all our themes, more candy and treats too.  Wrap in cellophane if you want, tie off with a bow or tie one of our helium balloons to the handle, then let the kids grab a bucket when they are leaving the party.  Save this sturdy plastic 6.5 inch X 4.5 inch bucket to use for Halloween as well, or how about putting a bunch of small party favors in it and let the kids grab them out for themselves.

Check out our new line of party favor containers for these and so much more!

Mother’s Day Brunch

Mother’s Day

In celebration of all that is “Mom”, making this Mother’s day a special day to remember will be easy, fun and very fulfilling.  First, let’s help you plan a wonderful day for your mother if you are one of the lucky ones whose mother can spend the day with you.  For those whose mother lives too far to be with in person, we will delve into a different, but just as special plan to celebrate your mother.

Very important and what better way to get her excited about the special day ahead.  Even if she is coming to just spend the day with you and your family, a beautiful hand-crafted invitation will immediately set the tone.  Everyone loves mail!  Even if you live next door, mail it!
At any arts & crafts store, you can buy beautiful, inexpensive parchment paper.  Many styles are available and this is a classic look, no matter what you do to it.  Buy a Flower & Garden Magazine so that you will have lots of different sized flower pictures to cut out.  With the little pictures, glue them around the parchment paper edge.  Don’t stay exactly on the edges of the paper…how boring! Let the roses, daffodils and lilies form an edge all their own.  Glue over the front of each picture as this will dry clear.  Using a calligraphy pen, and a script outline, write your invite to your mom, by poem, or just words of love, inviting her for your special day with her.  Do not fold this…just slip into a pretty envelope, large enough to slide in fully.  Add scented dried flower petals, so when she pulls it out, the pretty dried flowers will gently fall out.

On this special day, decorations either in one special room, the dining table or everywhere you can imagine, are a must.  Decorations can be as simple as gathering lots of wildflowers from outside and setting them in colored vases throughout the party area or stringing metallic, soft heart garland
above the food table or entry door.  A lace table cover, or large white or gold doilies before you set the plates down or chargers in different colors are available for low prices at places like Christmas Tree Shop.  Adding
a touch like one of these make the table pop with color and style.  Use vases or large candles in glass holders surrounded with shells, beads, flowers and even confetti as centerpieces.  Get some fun gemstone rings  and wrap the napkins in them as napkin rings.  Or use pretty ribbons, strung with crystal beads and wrap the napkins in the decorated ribbon.  If you want a more whimsical look to your tableware, try our tea party theme , very colorful with warm colors. How about some lilac petals strewn on the floor leading from the entry door to the party table?  Very pretty and loving way to say welcome.  Any way you choose to decorate, let it say I love you.

Mother’s Day Food!

Brunch seems to be the most popular way to spend the day with mom.  Brunch is fun, it comes at a perfect time, the food can be anything you desire and you can make it as serene or as exciting as you want.  These recipes that are below are scrumptious, easy to create and will give you foods to build on for your brunch.

A scrumptious  Baked Eggs with Bacon, Cherry Tomatoes and Herbs

2 tbsp. butter, softened
2 2/3 C. shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
16 large eggs
16 tbsp. heavy cream
2 tbsp. fresh herbs, your choice
1/3 C. minced fresh parsley
16 slices bacon, cooked, drained, and chopped
40 cherry pear tomatoes, divided, quartered
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Get out your ramekins :)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease each ramekin liberally with the softened butter.

Place about 5 quartered cherry tomatoes into the bottom of each ramekin. Sprinkle lightly with salt.

Into the bottom of each ramekin, on top of the tomatoes, sprinkle about half of the cheese
(divide half of your total quantity of cheese evenly into each ramekin).

Break two eggs into each ramekin. Divide parsley and herbs evenly among ramekins. Drizzle two tablespoons of cream over the eggs in each ramekin. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Top with the rest of the cheese and the crumbled bacon.

Bake about 20-25 minutes, or until your eggs have reached your desired level of perfection.

A perfectly delectable  Blackberry Spinach Salad

* 3 cups baby spinach, rinsed and dried
* 1 pint fresh blackberries
* 6 ounces crumbled feta cheese
* 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
* 1 green onion, sliced
* 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts (optional)
* 1/2 cup edible flowers (optional)

In a large bowl, toss together baby spinach, blackberries, feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, green onion, and walnuts.  Garnish with baby breath on the edges or daffodils along the side.

Ginger Lemonade

9 cups of water (total)
1 thumb-size piece of fresh ginger
1 cup sugar
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Lemon slices, mint sprigs, pineapple sticks

Thin-slice the ginger and set aside. Pour 2 cups of water in a glass jar and bring to a boil in the microwave. (Or you can use a  saucepan on the stove.)  Remove, plop the ginger in, and cover with the lid. Let the ginger steep for about 10 minutes to make ginger tea. Then strain out the ginger, replace the lid and chill well in the refrigerator.

Stir the sugar into 1 cup of boiling water to make simple syrup. Stir until dissolved.

Pour the remaining 6 cups of water into a large pitcher. Add the simple syrup and lemon juice. Stir, cover and chill.

Before serving, stir the ginger tea into the pitcher of lemonade.

Serve over ice with a garnish of thin-sliced lemon and a sprig of mint, and/or a long pineapple stick. Serves 8.

Pancetta-Wrapped Asparagus

While the main course is baking,  let mom nibble on pancetta-wrapped
asparagus. In this recipe, the asparagus is cooked on the grill, but
it can easily be made in a 350°F oven; bake for 15-20 minutes until
the pancetta is cooked through.

Spinach Frittata Recipe with Bacon and Cheddar

* 8 eggs
* ½ cup whole milk
* ½ lb fresh spinach, rinsed, dried and torn into roughly 1-inch pieces
* 8 slices bacon
* ½ large onion, peeled and diced
* 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
* Kosher salt, to taste

Preheat oven to 450°F.

Cook the bacon in a cast iron skillet over medium-low heat. When bacon is crispy, remove it from the pan, drain on paper towels and set aside. When it’s cool, roughly chop it into ¼ inch pieces — or just crumble it up.

Reserve about 2 Tbsp of bacon fat, then add diced onion and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes or until it’s slightly translucent.

Turn off the heat under the pan, then add the spinach pieces and stir with a wooden spoon for a minute until the leaves are fully wilted.

In a glass mixing bowl, thoroughly beat the eggs until nice and frothy. Add the milk and stir until combined. Season to taste with Kosher salt.

Pour the egg mixture into the skillet, and sprinkle the bacon pieces in as well. Give everything a stir to distribute the ingredients evenly. This is the last time you’re going to stir, so get it all out of your system now!

Turn the heat under the skillet back on to about medium and cook for about 5 minutes or until the egg begins to set. No stirring!

Add the grated cheese, sprinkling it evenly across the top, and then transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until the eggs are fully cooked.

Star Wars Party

I was in high school when the original Star Wars premiered.  I was…blown away.  Who the heck wasn’t?!  1977 was the year and for that time, the special effects that Star Wars offered was amazing to everyone.  Even in 2012, Star Wars remains one of our Top 10 sellers and has always been since we opened in 2000.
Getting the  Star Wars party supplies  for your Star Wars party theme, will make is much much fun to plan and so much fun to execute as there are lots of party supplies and party favors to choose from.  You can always mix both of the Star Wars party supplies patterns that we offer for an even cooler look.
Starting with the Star Wars tableware, (and don’t forget the second Star Wars themed tableware ), as this is fantastic since the plates and napkins offer different designs in each theme, adding color, excitement and Star Wars fun to your party table.  Don’t forget to sprinkle a lot of confetti, like our gold star confetti or the Star Wars confetti all over the party table for added party fun.
The Star Wars accessories section that we have is fantastic, as any Star Wars related accessories are right here.  From blow-outs to souvenir cups
to face masks, when you need to start to add to the tableware, this is the section to come to.  Use the souvenir cup  as balloon weights, if you fill with small marbles, as this will look fantastic on the party table.  Put a Star Wars Mask at each place setting, but first, put some treats under it as a surprise, like M&M’s, goldfish, skittles or any kind of fun treat, so when each child lifts up the mask to put it on, the pile of fun will be waiting for them.
New on the market on these great great 3-D glasses,  which will come in so handy as the Star Wars plates are in 3-D.  Characters seem to jump off the plates and the kids will be able to keep these 3-D glasses, take them home and use them in the future.
Let the Force be with You as you use all of the Star Wars Decorations
that we offer to get the Star Wars feeling hyped up.  The tabletop centerpiece is quite very cool as it has punch out, 3-D characters to stand on the table as well as the tabletop mat for below the characters. Use plastic Star Wars characters, available in many toy stores, to put those on the table as well and to use as take home party favors.  Use the Star Wars Mural to decorate a boring wall or door.
Use the Star Wars Characters confetti all over the party table and even the floor leading up to the table.  This confetti can be placed in the party pinata so that when the candy is released, a free fall of confetti comes out at the same time.
Use the Star Wars Danglers  to hang from the ceiling, from lights, from door arches to give the decorating a great 3-D look.  With so many Star Wars balloons to choose from, use the souvenir cups as balloon weights, hang them from lights, dangle them down from doorway arches, have them float above the table and give them out as party favors.
Speaking of Star Wars party favors, use our pre-filled goody bags, or treat bags and boxes, yo-yos, stickers, bounce balls, and even the 48 piece party favor pack for more fun and convenience.

Party Favor Bags & Birthday Treat Sacks

Party Favor Bag
Party Favor Bags…
Most definitely, besides the cake (or cupcakes or
cake pops), the party favor bags that you will
give out for each party guest is the most
important aspect of the party.  The party supplies are
very important, of course, but everyone looks
forward to getting that party favor bag and opening
it up when the party is over.  Whether or not you decide
to put the goodies in a themed box, a cello themed bag,
or even a plastic themed cup, what you put in it is very
important.  Sticking to the child’s age before you select
the favors is of utmost importance, as there are small parts
in a lot of the favors on the market that can easily come off
for children under the age of 3.  Hiding the party favor
bags is a good idea, as taking them out once all of the kids
are leaving is a bigger surprise, then having them out
and about where they can see them and perhaps go through
them before the party is over.  Of course, candy items are
always wanted! will be bringing in a lot more party
, fun little toys and cool candy items in its’ party
supplies arena very soon.  Look for this section to be
completely overhauled, as you will be able to design
your party favor bags here and have them shipped to you!
all ready to put into the bags or boxes you choose.
