Heat oven to 350 degrees. Then take a few apples, you choose the amount for how many desserts you will need. Wash each apple and then cut the cap off of each apple. Put each cap aside. Do not throw away.
Now, cut the core out of each apple, making a deep hole (but not through the bottom) and throw the core away. Fill the core with a tablespoon of butter, some cinnamon to taste and a 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar. You can always add more. This mixture is to your taste as to how sweet, buttery etc.
Place each cap back on its own apple and place each apple in a baking dish. Pour about 3/4 cup of orange juice over the apples. Cover the pan with foil and bake for about 30 to 40 minutes, until the apples are soft. Let them cool for about 10 minutes and then serve. So scrumptious and this goes great with vanilla ice cream!!
