Heat oven to 325 degrees. Mix 1 cup of All Purpose flour into a large mixing bowl. Add 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda. In separate small bowl, cream 1/2 cup of soft butter, adding 1/2 cup of firmly packed brown sugar. Cream together well.
Blend in 2 tablespoons of beaten egg (reserve the remaining egg) and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Add 1/2 cup of finely chopped peanuts and the dry ingredients. Mix well.

Spread the dough on a greased cookie sheet to a 14 x 10 inch rectangle. Brush this with the remaining egg. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of coursely cut peanuts. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until a light golden brown. Do not overbake.
While warm, cut or break into pieces. Delicious, sweet peanuty treat!!
